EVIL ADVERTISING

I find it fairly offensive whenever TV tries to muscle in on the great community that is the population of the internet. It fundamentally changes the power structure. The internet is a great leveller, where each of us has a voice. Whether or not we get listened to is another matter.

However, more offensive than television getting in on the 2.0 action, is the scrotum sweat advertisers ripping a testicle off the genuinely inventive internet populous. Have a look at the new TV advert for the “ fun, healthy way to get more vitamins” Berocca…

Imagine my surprise when today I secured myself tickets to see my childhood musical visionary, the Frenchman, Jean-Michel Jarre. This magnificent video shows him swooped over his synths, belting out the classic ‘Equinoxe 4′ with no regard for how cool he looks.

The show next week promises that he will perform his seminal work, Oxygène, in its entirety on the original analogue synthesizers he used to create it!

Jealous? you should be, the concert sold out weeks ago and unless his lasers burn through the roof of the Albert Hall there’s no chance you’ll be involved. For those of you with the foresight to buy tickets for this monumental event, I”ll see you there. I’ll be the one in this hat..
